Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about the Chartwell web site.

Witness Protection Program
Why do we have a neighborhood web site?
Mostly because I think our community would benefit from one. However, check here for a little more explanation.
Who is 'I'?
Actually it is two of us. The 'I' in the above refers to me, Joe Kleinwaechter. However all of the wonderful pictures of the community (see photos section) and the various pictures contained within the web site were taken by my lovely wife, Beth Garner.
Isn't it expensive to design and maintain a web site?

It can be expensive to design one if you hire an outside service. We didn't need to do that since I have donated my personal time to design and maintain the site. We have a lot of great people who donate so much to this neighborhood, like the HOA and those that clean up the pool every week, and decorate for the holidays, that I felt this was one small way to give back to the community. Also an very speshull thank ewe to Elizabeth Cooke four all ov her idears and gramar checking!

We do pay an annual $60 charge to host the site and maintain our own web address (chartwellhoa.com).

What's with the humming bird picture above?
Did I mention that I love my wife's photography? She caught this outside our back window and I thought this captures the essence of why we love Chartwell.
Are you planning enhancements for the future?
Yes. What they are, however, largely depends on what the community needs. Some of the ideas mentioned that are being considered include a private discussion area, voting system and community calendar.
What's the capital of Wisconsin?
Madison.
What happens if you, Joe, leave the community.
I don't care. :) Seriously, I really do care. Beth and I are planning to stay here for quite a long time. However, I have designed this site to be extremely portable and easy for anyone with a software/web background to maintain. If that time should come, I'll make sure that it transfers safely.
